ROSES ARE NOT ALWAYS RED-2

Thanks for bringing me to work, Rose said looking at Matthew as he parked right in front of her office, he let out a deep sigh as he held her hands tightly to feel warmth, Rose looked stared at him for a moment and without saying a word, she opened the car door to leave…. he watched rose leave through his mirror, he didn’t leave immediately, he wanted Rose to grow to love him but was unsure what ran through her mind and what must have informed her beliefs on love before now and he had little patience, in the past, Matthew has had to chase girls who still never stayed, at age 32 Matthew wasn’t sure if he could do more chasing…

He started his car and drove slowly out of the estate where Rose’s office was located, he enjoyed her aura, the way she talks feels completely soothing to his ears, she had a large appetite for joyous living, and there is something very striking about Rose, she was conventionally attractive, her features were severe, her charisma was admirable, you can’t help but steal some more glances, Rose walks into a room and everyone notices, she had an extra feature that Matthew couldn’t exactly place……… Rose was lovable.

At least everyone felt so about her, that’s what Matthew’s brothers thought, and his close friend Tom also felt the same about her…

  ……Matt called in several times at work to check on Rose and even plan lunch together, those breaks into Roses’ Day were filled with laughter, love, and tenderness, Rose enjoyed the new attention while her relationship with Fred started to suffer.

Fred, on the other hand, was a big-time farmer whose scores were pretty high and was core religious and traditional in his beliefs, rose loved it and he ticks all her boxes and that’s why she did agree to be with him in the first place… Fred was void of drama and avoided drama as well; Rose was committed to his happiness cos Fred never hesitates to see her smile but she never really got all his attention cos of the nature of his job, but this was no problem until Matt showed up.

Few weeks into knowing Matthew, Still puzzled about the turnout of events Rose began having conflicting desires…. Matthew grew so fond of Rose that they did everything together, he knew how to make love without demanding it, Rose loved that about him, she also loved how fit and well-dressed he always turns out, looks like he understood each mood of hers and filled in with warmth.

The sun beamed high so suddenly this Saturday, Rose woke up more enthused than ever, she made a few rolls and smiled to herself, to be honest, that has been her reaction for the past few weeks…. She felt safe yet uncertain, but she had nothing to be so worried about, well not soon.

I am yet to meet a person who wouldn’t like Rose, Matthew told his friend Tom, she is the complete package and she allows him to chase it is different with Temi, temi barely argues and conforms to everything I want, it is different with Rose, she has the spice I am needing, Matthew said as he and Tom played video games in his living room, Matt and Tom are friends from way back so they left nothing away from each other…. “But guy you must find a way to balance yourself with these two girls in your life yunno” Tom said to Matt, but Rose is quite a catch though, she is intriguing, but Temi is probably homely cos I mean she has been with you longer and she needs to be Wifed, you owe her that…. Hey bro no marriage talk today, let’s just play this game, they both laughed when the power suddenly seized, not surprised….

The days rolled by and all was really well as long as the shadows on the wall didn’t tell, the love between Matt and Rose thickened that it almost began to be like a breath of fresh air, even on those when arose wasn’t feeling Matt, Matt reassured Rose of a future together, that helped the process and calmed the roughs, it was bliss, they were a couple that couldn’t be told apart and no one was going to trick Rose that Matt wasn’t her rushy cheers, he was one silver lining in her story, and matt even though still torn about what choice to make  yet he was  consistent with Rose maintaining every ebb and the flows with her, even though he was now floating about his future but still scared to delve into the reality

Could they both be losing sight of the future?
