The Class of 1994 from Offa Grammar School (OGS) came together to commemorate their 30th anniversary with a series of engaging events that celebrated friendships, achievements and shared memories. Held across two iconic venues in Offa, the Ludlow Hall and Parliament Event Center.
The celebration kicked off at 9:00 AM with a formal gathering at Ludlow Hall, Offa Grammar School. Highlights included a moving welcome address written by the class president, delivered by Arc. Zakirudeen Oladotun, followed by insightful lectures on personal finance and well-being by alumni Rasheed Sanni and Pa Arowosaye.
A briefing on the Anniversary Project was presented by Arc. Zakirudeen Oladotun, highlighting the renovation of the SS3 Block, a project driven by the Anniversary Project Committee. Attendees were also treated to entertainment and a touching presentation of cash gifts to teachers as a gesture of gratitude.
The evening session, held at the Parliament Event Center, began at 6:00 PM with red carpet moments as attendees connected, captured memories and embraced the evening’s glamour. A reflective segment titled “Lest We Forget” honored late classmates, accompanied by retro videos and photos that evoked poignant memories.
The inauguration of the new executive committee marked a significant moment, followed by an inspiring speech from the newly elected president, Arc. Zakirudeen Oladotun. A grand dinner and awards presentation rounded off the formal program, after which alumni danced, chatted and bonded late into the night.
The event saw the attendance of notable individuals such as Ibikunle Jelilat Bukola, the outgoing president, Arc. Zakirudeen Oladotun, the newly elected president, Olaniran K. Bilewu, the general secretary, Sikiru F. Balogun, the assistant general secretary, Adomu M. Etundaiye, the auditor, Kemi Anifowoshe member of the Planning Committee, Sesan Ogunsola, member of the Planning Committee and many others. Their presence contributed to the success of the event and underscored the unity of the Class of 1994.
The 30th Anniversary Planning Committee, led by Chairman Rasheed Sanni, was praised for organizing the event. Sub-committees chaired by Ghaffar Ejiwumi (Fundraising), Olaniran Kabir Bilewu (Media & Publicity) and others ensured every detail was executed seamlessly.
As the evening concluded with smiles and laughter, the event stood as a testament to the enduring bond of the OGS Class of 1994. It was not just a celebration of milestones but a reaffirmation of friendship and a pledge to continue contributing to the school and community.
