The Offa-born professional from Kwara State is to resume his place of appointment effective and immediately as the new head and executive of the federal ventures limited in the federal capital territory. He will be responsible for carrying out the day-to-day affairs of the organization in FCT & Nigeria at large.
The development and growth of the organization now rest on his shoulders for improving intergovernmental relationships with the MDAs, rejuvenating business development through innovative ways, managing already existing investment, attracting more investment for government ventures, exploring bilateral relationships with foreign countries and the diplomatic representatives in various embassies, boosting foreign direct investment,
Improve local joint venture business, fast-track trade and commerce, and increase investment opportunities with both local & multinational organizations on a joint venture basis.
Before his appointment, Teslim Balogun had served in various positions of authority as the coordinator and director of centers at Kwara State University. He had been appointed as:
- liaison officer to over 15 MDAs in Nigeria,
- Liaison officer to ECOWAS (Economic Countries of West African States) and AU (African Union),
- Project manager/Coordinator to European Union 🇪🇺 / World Bank 🏦 projects including winning N600,000,000(six hundred million) naira grant & $150,000,000 (one hundred and fifty million dollars) AGES partnership with Kwara State Government and KWASU),
- Project manager for UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) Chair office on alternative energy,
- He was a member and Ambassador of the American YALI network (Young African Leadership Institute).
- He was special adviser to the office of Chancellor and Chancellor, Professor Ibrahim Gambari(COS to President Buhari and Vice-chancellor of KWASU Professor Na’ Allah)
- Director of PBRSSA in Sub-Saharan Africa in collaboration with Harvard University,
- Head of Division of Grants at the Center for Sustainable Energy,
- Coordinator for the Office of African Electronic Database and Development
- He headed multiple committees including the UN 🇺🇳 renewal of UNESCO Chair on alternative energy for Nigeria.
A lot of hopes and expectations are on the foreign-trained Project manager, information technology expert, and grant/ finance specialist who attended the Prestigious Mahatma Ghandi University in India, exclusive Zurich Institute of Technology, and dozens of professional certifications from Microsoft, Prince2, ITIL, Exin & Peoplecert.
