Dangote Petroleum Refinery has suspended self-collection of petroleum products at its gantry from September 18, 2025.
The company said the move is to boost adoption of its Free Delivery Scheme, which ships products directly to registered retail outlets, and to block sales to unregistered marketers. Any payments made after the suspension date will not be honoured.
Dangote assured that the free delivery option remains open to active and new customers, apologising for the inconvenience caused.
The decision comes amid tensions with NUPENG and DAPPMAN, who accuse the refinery of resisting unionisation and forcing marketers into its delivery system. Dangote insists the policy ensures efficiency, cuts diversion, and stabilises supply.
Independent marketers without registration may be most affected by the change.
